ReStore is Habitat’s open to the public retail outlet that sells donated new and gently used home furnishings and building materials! The proceeds from all items sold at ReStore go to funding Habitat’s home build mission. The Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester ReStore generates enough funds to build a home a year, while also keeping over 700 tons of useable materials out of local landfills! Tasks will consist of donations processing, customer service and sales floor merchandizing. From cleaning, testing, and pricing donations, to answering customer questions volunteers help us do it all!
All volunteers must be 16 years or age or older and complete and sign our safety waiver, those under the age of 18 having to have our waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.
All volunteers must wear closed toed shoes. Gravity is real, and we like all of volunteers to keep the toes they have. Volunteers should also wear comfortable clothing that you won’t mind getting dirty. We have ample parking available in our parking lot, but when volunteering prior to 10AM at the Worcester ReStore please enter through the double grey doors underneath a blue awning with a sign that reads “Donation Drive-Thru”.
