Who We Are

The Hadwen Arboretum, located at the intersection of Lovell and May Streets is a 100+ year old arboretum willed to Clark University in 1907. The Arboretum has a network 2 km+ trails and over 66 identified tree species. This unique green space is open to the community and invites nature study and provides applied research opportunities, such as research involving invasive species. The Arboretum is also home to a community garden administered by the Regional Environmental Council of Worcester.

What We Do

At the Hadwen Arboretum volunteer groups have the opportunity to work on many different hands-on projects. Past projects have included invasive species identification control and removal, trail building and maintenance, community gardening, native species and tree planting, as well as other ecological restoration efforts and research.
