The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Serving more than 6.6 million residents in 351 communities across Massachusetts, our volunteers provide help and hope to our neighbors in emergencies.

Our humanitarian services range from ensuring shelter, food, mental health services, and financial assistance during disasters, supporting active duty military, their families and veterans through times of crisis, reconnecting families domestically and overseas, providing health and safety educational programs, providing a range of food and nutrition services and collecting lifesaving blood and blood products.
