Who We Are

ACE currently enrolls over 340 children and parents in our programs each year, coming from 15 African countries throughout the continent, including Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Côte d'Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, and Tanzania.

Our students often arrive with severe gaps in their education, having little to no formal education before coming to the U.S. Our parents balance raising a family with understanding a new culture, learning a new language, and supporting their loved ones financially.

With the help of dedicated volunteers and staff, we are rewriting these students’ and families’ futures.

Over 95% of our students graduate high school and enter the workforce or a two- or four-year college. Our students have gone on to attend world-class institutions like Brandeis University, Clark University, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. They have gone on to be graduate students, accountants, nurses, and professional performers. Most importantly, they are changing their communities by sharing their unique experiences, outlook on life, and understanding of our world with those around them.
