Salisbury Mansion is Worcester's only historic house tour. Help us clean up basement and attic areas in this 1772-built home. The Salisbury Mansion is a property managed by the Museum of Worcester. 

This project is great for a group looking to make big impact in several ways at the same location! Volunteers will split up and assist in painting stairwells in one of our mixed use properties. The other half of volunteers will help outside and prep the flower beds for fall planting. Come ready for paint and dirt. All supplies will be provided.

This smaller family site is looking for a team to paint handrails throughout this 29-unit development. Painting handrails not only make the property look clean, but it also ensures the property is safe and well taken care of. Perfect for a smaller group volunteer project. Come ready to paint. We are looking for volunteers to help us with our annual church cleanup.  Most of our membership consists of seniors.  They are not able to help with the cleaning that is necessary for a large church.  

African Community Education needs your help! 

We’re looking for volunteers to help clean up the front of our building. The work will include pulling weeds, spreading mulch, and clearing away brush, debris, and other overgrowth.

We’ll provide gloves and any other supplies needed. Please dress appropriately, as this may be dirty, hands-on work.

This unique project will have volunteers paintings parking lines throughout our Great Brook Valley property. Many lines have become invisible and need you and a team of volunteers to help prep the parking area and paint the lines. Come ready to paint. All painting supplies will be provided. 

Here's your opportunity to "Stay within the lines" by painting Guard Rails at our largest property within the city. We will start at one end and work together to paint the guard rails, helping make the property not only look good, but making the property safer. Come ready to paint. All supplies will be provided.

Help assemble a ready-to-install cedar play structure that will bring joy, adventure, and healing to children living in the YWCA's emergency shelter. Structure features a clubhouse, bridge, slide, disc swing, and multiple climbing elements. Assist with unloading, organizing, and moving materials (50+ pounds) using common tools to construct.

Dress in layers and for the weather. Wear comfortable clothing. Sturdy work shoes and work gloves. Bring protective eye wear if available.

If your company has access to a truck, we'd appreciate assistance transporting the play structure (606 lbs. total packaged weight) from the YWCA to the shelter before assembly.

It's time to button up the YWCA's Camp Wind-in-the-Pines after a busy summer. We’ll be packing materials and supplies, cleaning and securing camp cabins; painting and putting away picnic tables and other outdoor equipment. 
Special project: prepare and paint wall in game room for a mural youth will paint next summer.
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Dress for weather. Supplies will be provided by the YWCA. Held rain or shine.

One of Open Sky's Worcester programs has 2 exterior ramps that need staining. Supplies will be provided, but make sure to wear clothes that may get a little dirty. 

Our Mill Pond property is in need of some weeding and mulching. For volunteers who enjoy getting in the dirt this is the perfect volunteer experience for your team. Volunteers will help beautify the entire property, helping make the grounds ready for fall planting and the winter. Supplies, including gloves will be provided. 

Come help spruce up our Lakeside property by raking out leaves and debris from the area. Keeping these areas clean from debris helps us keep a safe and clean property for residents. Supplies will be provided. Come with a positive energy ready to help our community. 

Your team's morning will start at Elder Services of Worcester Area's office at 67 Millbrook Street, Worcester.  You will assemble packets of valuable resource information for veterans.  Then, the majority of your project time will be spent driving to deliver these packets to various locations such as veterans' services organizations, clinics, and shelters, in the community we serve (Worcester and surrounding towns). 

*Must have valid driver's license and insurance, and a reliable vehicle (can drive individually or pair up with someone from your team).

Cranes of Hope Project: One thousand paper cranes previously hung from the ceiling of our playroom. Unfortunately, a flood a few years ago destroyed all of them. Join the United Way Day of Action team to bring color and joy to the children and families at Why Me & Sherry's House. Volunteers will string and install a beautiful, floating canopy of colorful paper cranes, as symbol of hope and healing, on the playroom ceiling. Together, we will string pre-folded cranes onto clear lines and hang them at cascading heights to restore the room into an uplifting, magical space for children undergoing cancer treatment.

Climbing a ladder is required for actual ceiling installation. 

Volunteers will be helping to clean and organize our family shelter.  Sorting/organizing donated items, beautification of shelter, shredding, etc. Activities could be inside and/or outside, weather permitting.

Please help us create a better experience for our residents an guests by helping us clean up trash and debris in our neighborhood. 

Help prepare the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester for the fall season by improving our outdoor spaces for the hundreds of youth and families we serve each day. Volunteers will rake leaves, weed and mulch garden beds, trim shrubs, sweep walkways, pick up litter, and complete general landscaping and beautification projects around the Club. This work creates a safe, welcoming environment where young people can learn, play, and thrive. The Club will provide basic tools and supplies; volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and work gloves if they have them. Parking is available on-site.

Turn Back Time is a nonprofit nature education program, helping individuals recognize nature’s ability to teach and heal. Please join us to help us get the farm cleaned up. Activities include gardening, trail clearing, and other farm related chores. Volunteers are welcome to bring your own gardening and landscaping tools and gloves, but we will also have tools on hand. 

We have 5 raised garden beds that need to be cleaned out and more soil topped off. We have a food bank that would need restocking and cleaning. 

Work out on a hidden environmental conservation property on the shoreline of a Worcester Reservoir as we make improvements and upgrades to the Patch Reservoir Environmental Field Station. This facility serves Worcester State University Department of Earth Sciences, the Worcester Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club, the Friends of Patch Reservoir, and the Greater Worcester Land Trust. The facility needs upgrades, from minor carpentry to painting, to vegetation management, to organizing of bulky equipment. This is a rain or shine event and the views can not be beat. Feel free to coordinate arriving by canoe or kayak if interested!
