Ascentria Care Alliance recently launched a community garden project located at 1 Maple Place Garden, behind the 18 Chestnut Street Building, as part of our ongoing commitment to promoting community engagement, dignity, health, and wellness. This garden is envisioned as a welcoming space where all 18 Chestnut  agency staff and community partners, can come together to plant, nurture, and harvest organic fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Beyond food production, the garden serves as a place for people to connect, learn, relax, and enjoy the outdoors in a beautiful and inclusive environment. One area that currently requires attention is the landscaping around the garden planters and surrounding grounds. Our goal is to create an inviting outdoor setting where community members and partners can enjoy lunch, observe the garden, socialize with friends and colleagues, or simply spend time in a peaceful and attractive space.Volunteer Support NeededWe are seeking volunteers to assist with the following activities:Raking and cleaning the garden areaWeeding garden beds and surrounding spacesRemoving overgrown shrubs and bushesSpreading mulch (if available)Planting flowers and enhancing garden aestheticsGeneral landscaping and outdoor beautification projectsThis project can easily accommodate a larger volunteer group and offers an opportunity to make an immediate and visible impact on the property and the many individuals who utilize this community space. We welcome individuals, community groups, corporate volunteer teams, faith-based organizations, and local partners who are interested in helping us cultivate a vibrant and welcoming environment for all.Thank you for considering this opportunity to support Ascentria's mission of strengthening communities and creating spaces where everyone can thrive.
