Who We Are

The Girls Inc. Experience is facilitated by 3 Essential Services that are common to all activities and programs: Healthy Living activities, Academic Enrichment, and Life Skills instruction. We use these criteria to create consistent experiences, outcomes, and levels of quality in everything we do for girls. Girls Inc. is committed to providing the comprehensive Girls Inc. Experience to those who identify as girls and those gender expansive young people who feel our pro-girl environment is the best fit for them. Girls' Bill of Rights Girls have rights. The national Girls Inc. organization created a Girls Bill of Rights as a first step toward defining the rights that belong to all girls. Girls have the right to: be themselves and to resist gender stereotypes. express themselves with originality and enthusiasm. take risks, to strive freely, and to take pride in success. accept and appreciate their bodies. have confidence in themselves and to be safe in the world. prepare for interesting work and economic independence.

What We Do

After 100 years, Girls Inc. of Worcester continues to inspire all girls to be strong (healthy), smart (educated), and bold (independent). We put our mission into practice through the Girls Inc. Experience- consisting of the people, place and programming that, together, empower girls to succeed. As the oldest and only facility-based, girl-centered organization in Central Massachusetts, the Girls Inc. Experience is what makes us unique among organizations serving youth. Girls Inc. provides more than 1,000 girls in Greater Worcester with life-changing experiences and real solutions to the unique challenges girls face. By offering researched-based programming, girls learn to set and achieve goals, overcome obstacles, resist peer pressure, see college as attainable, and explore nontraditional fields such as STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).
