Who We Are

We serve refugees, no matter who they are or from where they come. We were founded in 2016 by a handful of passionate people who simply wanted to help refugees. We knew that there were many people from our churches who also wanted to help but didn't know how or what was needed, so we became a "Bridge Between the Church and the Refugees in our City." As a faith-based organization, we are motivated by God's love to serve newcomers to help meet their needs. In 2021, we expanded into western MA to serve refugee families where we have volunteers, in Springfield, Chicopee, West Springfield, and Westfield. Our volunteers are our greatest asset! We can not do this work with you!

What We Do

WARM serves refugees to help them with physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs in partnership with other community refugee-serving organizations. We provide apartment set-ups for newcomers, ESL, homework help for teens, driving instruction, mental health support groups, after school soccer and a summer soccer school, as well as wrap around care teams for refugee families to know they are not alone as they integrate into a new homeland. We also host multiple events throughout the year to build community and allow people from many cultures to come together to build friendships. We train volunteers to be culturally informed and sensitive to the needs of peoples and then help connect them with meaningful volunteer opportunities.
