Who We Are

The Oxford Community Center is a municipal-government nonprofit facility used for recreational, social, educational, and cultural services and activities. OCC’s Mission is to develop diversified year-round activity programming for all age populations by cooperating with all entities, organizations, town groups and residents in developing and implementing these public programs. Our Main Goal is to provide opportunities for: creative learning, learning creativity, building family unity, reducing stress, building self-esteem, eliminating loneliness, lowering healthcare costs, creating memories, reducing crime, creating avenues for healthy lifestyles, increasing community pride, and improving the quality of life of our members and program participants. The Community Center has been in existence since 2006 - with improving the well-being of our community as a its impetus.

What We Do

The Community Center presents community programs and recreation opportunities at the Center, the Town Common and Carbuncle Park. Programs at Carbuncle Park include Carbuncle Summer Program, splash pad, children's and family paint events, Tai Chi, Polar Plunge, and more. At The Community Center, programs include athletics for all ages, fitness programs, creative movement and craft classes for pre-school age children, life skills (babysitting certification, personal finance, healthy eating, new-driver informational sessions, cyber-bullying, Safe-Kids 101) for youth in middle school and high school. At the Common, we host a Winter Festival, Teddy Bear Picnic, Summer Bandstand Concert Series, summer Movies on Main, Scarecrows on the Common and the annual Tree Lighting.
